Resin bound surfacing blends natural aggregate with a clear UV stable resin, then trowels it out over a prepared base to form a smooth, seamless, fully permeable surface. How much does a resin bound driveway cost in Weymouth?

How long does the work take?

Do I need planning permission?
For a permeable surface such as resin bound, normally not. Front garden surfaces over five square metres need planning permission only where they are non permeable and drain onto the road. Resin bound is fully permeable, so it sits outside that rule. We are happy to talk it through if you are unsure.
How does resin bound cope with coastal weather in Weymouth?
Very well. The resin is UV stable so it will not yellow in the sun, and salt air does not attack it the way it attacks steel or untreated timber. Because the surface is permeable, rain drains straight through rather than sitting on top, which is what causes frost damage in other surfaces.
What upkeep does a resin bound driveway need?
Very little. A brush over now and then and an occasional rinse with a hose or a low pressure wash keeps it looking new. There are no weeds to pull out of joints and no gravel to rake back into place. Looked after properly, a resin bound driveway will last fifteen to twenty years.
