Professional Resin Bound Driveway Installation in Acton
Local setting and history of Acton
Acton sits between Acton Park, Gunnersbury Park and Ealing Common, in streets built for the laundry trade that once earned it the name Soapsud Island. Most frontages are Victorian and Edwardian with modest front gardens.
A brief history of Acton
Acton was recorded in 1181, and its early settlement developed along the Uxbridge Road around St Mary’s Church. Inns serving travellers were established by the later Middle Ages, giving the village a role on the route west from London.

What we look for on an Acton driveway
- London Clay with patchy terrace gravel. The gravel cap comes and goes street by street. Where it is absent the clay is slow draining, so the sub-base does the work instead of the sub-soil.
- Old industrial and laundry made ground. Acton’s trade left buried brick, concrete bases and fill on plenty of plots. We dig a trial hole before quoting rather than discovering it mid-job.
- Front gardens becoming parking. Most of our Acton work converts a garden to one or two spaces. Over five square metres the surface must be permeable, which resin bound satisfies without a soakaway.
- Crossover approval in Ealing. A dropped kerb needs council consent and a minimum frontage depth. We check that first so nobody pays for a drive they cannot legally reach.
Where we work around Acton
We install across Acton, East Acton, South Acton, Chiswick, Ealing and Shepherd’s Bush, run from our London office in Maida Hill.

Versatile Resin Bound Surfaces – Ideal for Patios, Paths, Driveways & Pool Surrounds
WHAT IS RESIN BOUND SURFACING?
Resin bound paving is a modern surfacing solution created by combining natural stone aggregates with a high-performance resin binder. This produces a seamless, smooth, and visually appealing surface ideal for driveways, patios, and pathways throughout Acton.
Key Advantages of Resin Bound Paving:
- Permeable & SuDS-Compliant: Resin bound paving allows rainwater to drain naturally through the surface, helping manage surface water effectively, an important benefit in built-up areas like Acton.
- Durable & Crack-Resistant: The flexible structure of resin bound surfaces helps reduce cracking caused by ground movement, temperature changes, and regular vehicle use.
- Low Maintenance: Resin bound driveways resist weed growth and surface movement. Simple sweeping and occasional gentle power washing keep the surface looking clean and well-maintained.
- Fully Bonded Surface: Aggregates are mixed with resin before installation, forming a solid, non-loose surface that remains stable under foot and vehicle traffic.
